Young Professionals Committee (YPC)The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is committed to making a difference in the Will, Grundy and Kankakee County areas, and is the culmination of a group project by members of the 2011 Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School.

Networking for a Cause!

The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is made up of emerging professionals committed to making a difference in the Will, Grundy, and Kankakee County areas by raising funds, increasing awareness of the agency in a fun and social environment, and recruiting future Big Brother and Big Sister mentors.  It was formed in 2011 to complement the efforts of the Board of Directors and to develop future leaders of the agency and the community.   Please contact Cortney Frahm at (815) 723-2227, ext. 224 for additional information.

Social and Personal Networking
The Young Professionals Committee is a great way to do good while having fun and meeting other established and emerging community leaders.

Plan and Host Fundraising Events
Raising funds is critical to advancing the agency’s mission and vision. Currently, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will and Grundy Counties serves approximately 500 matches per year, with a goal of reaching 700 matches by 2015. The approximate cost per mentoring match is $1,200.

Recruit “Bigs” and Increase Awareness of Big Brothers Big Sisters
The number of potential “Littles” searching for their “Big” continues to grow on a daily basis. Big Brothers Big Sisters is in constant need of new volunteers so that it can fully serve the children of the community.
